When does the Roving Gelato Cart arrive?

We generally aim for 30 minutes before your event, unless requested earlier due to the venue or site. A small additional fee applies if we are required to arrive early to set up.

How long does Roving Gelato serve for?

Please check our packages which have all the information regarding serving time. You can choose between a 60-minute or 90-minute serving time depending on the package. Your time begins from when our set up is complete or given time at booking for start of service. During either of these time packages, we will serve Gelato / Sorbet until your time is up.

When does Roving Cart depart?

We are generally packed up 30 minutes after the conclusion of service! unless there are any restrictions due to the venue or site. (Upon which is discussed when booking)

Will we need the power to operate the Roving Gelato Carts?

Yes & No. We do need the power to plug in our carts. The carts will keep the gelato nice and cold for you and your guests to ensure the consistency of the products. If there is no power close to where you would like us to set up, we may simply need an extra long extension cord (as long as it is not creating a trip hazard to your guests/clients)

Let us know if required we have portable power options available (at an extra cost of $75) this can be perfect for remote private locations, beach, garden, farm, or bush weddings!

How big is The Gelato Bike?

Are Roving Gelato items biodegradable and friendly to the environment?

Yes! Our spoons, paper cups, and sleeves are all plastic free, and biodegradable. Our spoons are manufactured with food 9-ply paper technology that is food-grade paper and FSC-certified. 100% compostable and environmentally friendly.

Can you style the Roving Gelato Carts?

You can choose from a range of decorative umbrellas that can be tailored to suit the theme of your event. We also include a personalized sign welcoming your guests to the Roving Gelato Cart experience. Should you require additional items we list these will be available for hire at an additional cost.

What do Roving Gelato attendants wear?

Our attendants wear modern casual clothes and our serving aprons. We always welcome people with a big Roving Gelato smile and can't wait to have fun and enjoy the event. If you do have a dress code for your event please let us know in advance and we will do our best to comply.

How many different flavour choices does The Gelato Bike carry?

The Roving Gelato carts can accommodate the following (Monty Bike Cart - three different flavours) and (Molly White Cart four different flavours). See the Gelato & Sorbet Menu page for inspiration.

Can Roving Gelato have the event on council land?

We would need a copy of all the relevant approvals to allow us to do this. Please contact your relevant council to discuss this before confirming a booking. As there can be a lot of requirements needed.

What happens to any leftover gelato?

Hit us up! we can accommodate your guests or clients taking home some Gelato / Sorbet quantities at an additional cost (we will bring some containers or in some circumstances, we may have Maleny Co pre-packaged tubs available for sale)

When is the right time for Roving Gelato to serve Gelato or Sorbet to my guests / clients?

We think you know! but really sun = fun = Gelato. Of course, well let's be honest anytime is good...

Maleny Food Co. is an artisan food producer located in the beautiful surroundings of Maleny, in the heart of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Queensland. Their signature gelato and sorbet have achieved critical acclaim and consistently won Australian industry awards. Combining rich Guernsey milk and cream, local fruits, and produce with the finest Italian ingredients.

Location Specific Details

If we are required to park in a location that has height restrictions (Our van clearance must be 2.5m high) please notify us at the time of booking. As we operate in city locations if your event location requires us to pay for parking this is an additional charge based on the car park's fee structure.

Please call 0493 875 955 or email us - we can arrange 180ml pre-packed tubs or 500ml pre-packed tubs / these tubs. Flavours include Chocolate, Berry Delight, Creme Caramel (Fav), Strawberry and Vanilla Bean. Sorbet includes Lemon, Mango and Raspberry.
